Initial 8:

So the top 8 doesn't actually look too shabby, as they will have an explosive set of forwards in Hossa, Gaborik, and Demitra. Handzus and Satan are seeing their age take a toll on their play, though Satan is enjoying a good season. Lubomir Visnvosky and Zdeno Chara are a great top pairing. While Svatos rounds out the top 8.
The rest of the lineup will look like this:

So the rest of the team includes defensmen Andrej Meszaros, Milan Jurcina, and Andrej Sekera. I left out one spot, because i don't really know who is playing overseas. The forwards are, Richard Zednik, Ladislav Nagy, Tomas Kopecky, Marcel Hossa, and Branko Radivojevic. Again a few spots left open for overseas players. The goalies should and will be Peter Budaj, backed up by Jaroslav Halak.
A few points to make:
Robert Nilsson- OK i completely agree, the guys play this season ex nay's him from any kind of bubble spot. However last season, i think he would've garnered a shot big time.
The Oilers quickly got over their 10-2 thrashing and beat the Wild 3-1. The only goals that night that were maybe fluky, was the Hemsky goal, though considering the amount of skill he has, he made it look like he MEANT to bank it in off Burns skate.
The Oilers lost the Sunday afternoon game against Nashville, the do however need to win their next three, no questions asked. Chicago, St Louis and Detroit are all beatable right now. Just do it. Going 2-1 in the next three will be OK, going 1-2 is not an option, especially considering their current spot.

The Cardinals lost a heart breaker on Sunday, in probably one of, if not the best Superbowl games Ive seen in the last 5 or so years. Props to both the Steelers and Cardinals for bringing excitement and the thrill of such a great game. No props however to #93 James Harrison, for punching and beating on a Cardinal late in the game, he should have gotten an immediate game ejection for that kind of crap.
Kurt Warner- all class, will he stay? Or will he go?
Sorry, I was only doing teams who have a legitimate shot at winning a Gold Medal, not playing to stay out of the relegation division...
ReplyDeleteAnd if we are counting last year for Nilsson, then Sean Avery would get an invite for Team Canada because, lets face it, there was no better grinder/pest in the entire NHL.
But Canada doesnt need a grinder/pest lol, and the Slovaks are a good team, i wouldnt count them out
