The Game

So yes Canada has won the last four World Junior Championships, but this year, for some reason, there seems to be a ton more emotion and drama involved. The game on Saturday evening was probably one of the most exciting, roller coaster of emotion hockey games since the Oilers went to the Stanley Cup final. Yet even then, this was a single game. Going into the final tonight, one has to think this will be one of the most-watched, highest anticipated, event in recent history (for Canadians that is). The reason I am saying all of this is purely because of all nights, I have been scheduled to work, it has to be this night. Does not all of Canada stop doing whatever it is they are doing (aside from TSN of course) to sit their cold (yes all of Canada is suffering from this "Gobal Cooling") asses? Seriously! I have to work?! Like does Starbucks not understand that this is a piece of history?! For me, missing this event is an emotional disaster. 25 million+ people (however many there are living in Canada) will be watching this game on their flat screens, boob tubes, pull down projection screens, rexall place TV's, standing room sections at Scotiabank Place, and yet i will be toiling at Starbucks.

All I have to say is Go Canada Go! Make your country proud boys!!!
